Description

The goal of this site is to organize gathered historical information about Blacksburg, VA and the surrounding Montgomery County. The site features helpful primary online sources, provides a platform for document transcriptions, captures local history from social media posts, and provides a place for citizen-researchers to share their discoveries.

The website includes a page dedicated to Lucy Lee Lancaster, one of the first five women graduates of VPI, a local resident, and long-time librarian at Newman Library.
